POSITION: Controls Engineer

Status: Not currently open

Position requires experience in designing, testing, commissioning, documenting, and/or maintaining control systems based upon Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), hardwired logic, PCs, and other controllers.

Primary areas of responsibility

  • Analyze client needs and specifications to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
  • Design and produce drawings of electrical systems, prepare documentation
  • Liaison with clients and contractors
  • Contribute to project bids
  • Research suitable solutions and estimate costs
  • Field commissioning and troubleshooting

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in a related field
  • Proven experience in PLC logic and programming
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in deadline oriented work environment

Desired qualifications

  • Entertainment industry experience (theater, theme park, special effects, rigging, etc.) a plus
  • Allen-Bradley or SIEMENS PLCs, safety system design, industrial controls, motor and motion controls, sensors, device interfacing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot interfaces between hardware and software
  • Ability to work in deadline oriented atmosphere

Physical demands

May require on site installation supervision; long hours in the field. Domestic and international travel may be required with extended stays in the field.


POSITION: Software Engineer

Status: Not currently open

Required skills

  • Experience in designing, writing, testing, commissioning, documenting, and/or maintaining real-time software for embedded systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Applicants should possess a BSEE or a BS in Computer Science. A willingness to travel extensively is a plus but not a requirement.

  • WonderWare, RSView and related Microsoft Access PC tools

POSITION: AutoCAD Controls System Electrical Designer/Drafter

Status: Not currently open

Required skills
This position requires experience in AutoCAD 14 for the design and drafting of wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and electrical/electronic assembly and packaging.

Desired skills and experience

  • At least two years experience, at least one with control systems or low voltage electrical systems
  • Microsoft Office experience, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Electrical Assembly experience
  • Electrical Circuit Design experience
  • Excellent Communication skills
